The High Court has found Joseph Irungu, alias Jowie, guilty of the murder of businesswoman Monica Kimani, who was killed five years ago in her Lamuria Garden Apartments, in Kilimanai Area, Nairobi County on 19 September 2018.
In a judgment delivered on Friday, 09 February 2024 by Justice Grace Nzioka, the prosecution proved its case beyond reasonable doubt against Jowie. “I find the first accused person charged here guilty of the offense of murder,” Justice Nzioka ruled.
Justice Grace Nzoika has cancelled Jowie’s bond and Jowie is set to remain in custody and appear in court on Friday, 08 March 2024 for sentencing.
