Renowned entertainer Allan Ochieng alias Hype Ballo was on Monday, 22 April 2024 arraigned in Kiambu High Court over the murder charges of Felix Kelian Kintosi on Friday, 22 March 2024. Kintosi, a former DCI Officer, was stationed at DCI Dagoretti and attached to Kabete Police Station.
Hype Ballo denied all the charges leveled against him. The Office of the Director of Public Prosecution (ODPP), represented by Jenifer Ndeda, sought his detention pending a social inquiry report, which was granted by Lady Justice Dorah Chepkwony, and remanded the accused person for 7 more days at Nairobi Remand Prison.
The hype man was arrested alongside six others, including DJ Joe Mfalme, in connection with the murder of Kinotsi. The other six were later released and converted into prosecution witnesses.
The hearing for the bail application is scheduled for Thursday, 02 May 2024.
