Mr. James Muriithi Gakara, a Nakuru based doctor, suspected to have murdered his two children aged 5 and 3, before attempting to take his own life, has passed on.

The children were found lying dead on their beds, with foam oozing from their mouths. Their father was also found lying on his bed, though he was still alive – after a failed suicide – and was rushed to the Nakuru Level 5 Hospital, in an attempt to save his life. Nakuru County Commander Beatrice Kiraguri reported his demise this morning, while he was undergoing treatment.

Assorted drugs, used syringes and a sharp kitchen knife were found at the scene of incidence, hinting to detectives that the obstetrician at Optimum Current Hospital in Nakuru, might have injected his two children with a yet-to-be known killer substance, in their house at the affluent Milimani apartments.
