Collins Jomaisi Khalisia, 33 is the suspect behind the murders of nine bodies recovered at Kware dumpsite in Mukuru kwa Njenga, Embakasi South Constituency.
The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), Mohamed Amin, on Monday, 15 July 2024 revealed that Khalisia, was apprehended at Soweto in Kayole, after a joint operation by the DCI and the National Police Service (NPS). His arrest followed forensic analysis linking him to mobile money transactions made on one victim’s phone.
Khalisia, has admitted to killing 42 women between 2022 and July 11, 2024. His first victim was his wife, whom he strangled and dismembered, before disposing of her remains at the dumpsite.
In his single-room house approximately 100 metres from the dumpsite, police recovered several items, including SIM card holders, smartphones, a laptop, a hard drive, a machete, nylon sacks, industrial gloves, ID cards, and other personal items. The suspect’s house and the dumpsite remain active crime scenes.
Nine bodies have so far been recovered from the dumpsite, with postmortems set to begin today at Nairobi Funeral Home.
