The Military Wives Association of Kenya (MWAK) on Saturday 4 September 2021, held its third quarterly meeting in Nairobi to talk about the association’s journey.
During the meeting, Mrs. Tabitha Kibochi, the association’s chairperson acknowledged that MWAK is really growing and has inspired many since it started.
She acknowledged that the association has given out more than 150 special aid devises to children who are abled differently at various military establishments spread across the country.
The Chair stated that renovation of maternity facilities is ongoing in Embakasi and Lang’ata Garrisons as well as Moi Barracks to improve the maternal healthcare service delivery.
MWAK association has plans to have regional representation in Thika, Nakuru, Eldoret, Nanyuki, Mombasa, Isiolo and Garissa which will reach more families.
